Can P2P become a disruptive technology to enterprise data processing?

P2P (peer-to-peer) computing, despite the hype surrounding it for the last decade, has not been exploited in corporate network and business applications. One of the main reasons is that it has not been able to satisfy the needs of enterprise-quality data-intensive applications. In this talk, I shall re-examine the research issues that need to be addressed in order to make P2P systems usable in corporate networks. I will also discuss my ongoing work in this area.
